The PROJECT
Military projects have very long names. The KC-46A Main Operating Base Number 6 Beddown Environmental Impact Study was no exception. This nomenclature made it very difficult for the project team to clearly communicate about the project in branded materials. They needed a logo that was easy to understand and provided an acronym that could be used to reference the project, which was how MOB6 was envisioned.
The STRATEGY
This project involved a series of studies conducted by the Air Force regarding new facility locations needed to house the Air Force’s KC-46A tanker planes. With the latest and greatest technology, these planes are used to refuel other planes while in flight, eliminating the need for planes to land. This innovative process called for a brand that was equally thought-provoking, while still able to fit in with the existing Air Mobility Command look and feel.
