The PROJECT
Abielle Confections was focused on the idea that people regularly make purchases based on packaging design. To effectively stand out on often crowded shelves, the final brand system needed to be flexible enough to account for multiple honey-infused flavors and products. With high-end retailers being the brand’s preferred distribution channel, it was important that the final packaging designs reflected an elegant and gourmet experience.
The STRATEGY
Research began by examining other high-end chocolate bars in order to establish the best packaging dieline. Once the technical details were established, the product’s unique flavor profile provided the brand’s main conceptual throughline. Luxury was imparted via a unique typographic wordmark and monochromatic color palette, allowing various honeycomb patterns to become the brand’s primary distinguishing feature.
